Thank you for your interest in the Lakeside music program. Lakeside is a unique and exciting place to prepare for future success in music. Students have the opportunity to participate in superb ensembles and simultaneously pursue their individual interests as a chamber musician, composer, or performer.
 
In our program, you will explore your interest and hone your skills under the guidance of the finest music educators and performers in the Northwest. We have outstanding symphony orchestras, jazz ensembles, and a music specialist program that offers sustained and in-depth study of instrumental music. For students who want comprehensive training in music, there are opportunities for supplemental study in music theory, improvisation, and composition. Many of our students have received accolades for their individual performances in the community and our orchestra and bands are considered among the best in the state.
 
Your ensemble rehearsals will be led by an exceptional teacher/conductor and professional instrumental coaches—much like you would experience in a youth orchestra or summer program.  No other program offers this level of mentorship and contact with artist level teachers. The coaches also offer private lessons and lead chamber ensembles throughout the year. Together, our faculty will take your playing to a new level and you will have a great time in the process.
